Ink and quills, arright! Uh I actually have been drawing a good bit. I'm really enjoying my new figure class, I've done detailed sketches of muscles and limbs, I've got to ink them though. I'm really getting into inking, using brushes for bigger shadows. So I should get some stuff up here.

Working on it. Looks cool, but I've really been looking for something to inspire me lately, but I've been so caught up with working, a summer class, and constantly driving somewhere, running on red bull instead of sleep. So...my brain has been refusing to be creative and productive....so I'm uh...working on that.

This is a flyer I did for a church youth group's grand opening of a rock-climbing/skate park. Its just the layout but I was pretty happy with it. The only bummer was the final version produced had to be in black and white. Oh well, it was still pretty neat to do some real work for somebody.

THREE CHEERS FOR MOTIVATION

Not exactly sure who this character is, but I got myself to sit down for a few hrs. and made what was originally a boring sketch into something pretty cool looking. My roomate actually had a cool suggestion for him as well. Instead of giving him typical horns on his head, give him thorns! Another suggestion was to give him arms that are more like a bunch of tangled vines. And, of course this guy would breath carbon dioxide. Other than that, I've got no story behind him, so I'm open to any suggestions. (I also apologize for not finishing his legs, its a bad habit of mine).

Woke up this morning at, well, 11:00 and this was the first thing I did. I began adding all of the color. So far its just all of the basics, except for the face which I've added shadow to. Oh and I'm sure you can't tell, but I streched the legs a little bit. It seemed like they were short and it kept bothering me. Thank god for photoshop to fix those things.

Just scanned this one. It's quite generic but I liked how it turned out. When I started it, trust me, it was even less original, so I added the beard and more pockets. Gonna try to use all sorts of interesting colors.

Some plane concept I drew one night,....when I should of been studying, but I couldnt stop for that, I was actually in a mood to draw! Not the most original plane design, I know, but it was a decent drawing compared to the crap I've done lately. I did my best to spend a lot of time on the coloring, giving it the metallic look.

Been drawing lately. But I hate every thing I draw. I seem to just not have the flow I used to. This is really frustrating. This would also be the reason nothing has been posted lately. Until then, I am artistically constipated.

Um...yeah just messing around in photoshop. Trying to come up with a theme for my next website. It would probably look really good if I drew the skulls in pencil and scanned it in. This was put together in maybe half an hour, I just wanted something to post. Before I concern myself with a theme, maybe I should remember how to use flash first huh?

Hoping to get back into flash. It's been a while since I've used it, but it would be cool if I had something to put online by this summer. I'll probably spend some time looking at tutorials online.

Well I guess when I said it would be done soon was a lie, but, I have regained enthusiasm for this piece and I'm going to try really hard to do a good job of painting it. Kinda regret not working more on the drawing to begin with. Oh well, next time I get a good drawing I'll do my best to keep at it...I hope.

traced images, yeah I know its cheating but I traced it on the computer with my right hand. and this guy right here is left handed. idn. it just looks cool. yeah, my artwork is very deep and personal isn't it? heh, screw that.

uh...and another one. I got this idea from a book I've been reading, about some parasites that latch onto peoples backs, wierd I know. Though the parasite I illustrated on this guy looks more like some horrible std, I think this is one of my better illustrations. Oh and if you haven't noticed yet, I never finish these drawings!

So this is typically what I do. I sit around and draw, and when I get one that I really like, I scan it into Photoshop. Then I mess around with lighting, and different colors, I'm gonna try and use more colors. I tend to have a habit of making it look plain. Anyway its just some 1950's mobster I made up. I'll probably do some more like that.
